Our team is comprised of creatives, strategists, producers, designers, project managers, influencer managers, filmmakers, volunteers, activists, ballplayers, hype beasts, social media moguls, runners, mixologists, party promoters, hip-hop elitists, show-bingers, hot-take havers, vintage t-shirt collectors, fitness fanatics, pet parents, plant parents, human parents, and general good time havers.

Clients include Hennessey, Nike, Jordan, Spotify, Meta, Instagram, Tik Tok, Amazon, Timberland, Oakley, Footlocker, Chime, Fanatics, Bleacher Report, Uninterrupted, and more.

About the Role:

The Social Media Copywriter serves as the guardian and architect of a brand's voice on social. You will have "birds eye" oversight of every caption, script, response, and campaign concept to ensure it reflects the client's tone, personality, and positioning according to established brand guidelines while continuing to push the voice forward in culturally relevant ways.

Beyond execution, you are a proactive idea generator. You bring culture-first concepts to the table for tentpole campaigns, album releases, tour moments, cultural flash points, and real-time internet trends. You thrive in reactive environments and can turn moments into meaningful engagement without compromising brand integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

Own and Protect the Brand Voice
  • Serve as the primary voice steward for a marquee music client across all social platforms
  • Ensure copy aligns with brand guidelines, tone frameworks, and strategic positioning
  • Adapt voice appropriately by platform while maintaining consistency and authenticity
  • Collaborate closely with creative, strategy, talent, and client teams to ensure cohesion across touchpoints
Drive Creative Ideation
  • Generate big social-first ideas for campaigns, launches, and cultural moments
  • Concept reactive and real-time content that feels timely and on-brand
  • Contribute to brainstorms with platform-native concepts rooted in music and culture
  • Partner with art directors, designers, and editors to bring ideas to life
Execute with Excellence
  • Write compelling captions, scripts, hooks, community responses, and campaign copy
  • Develop messaging frameworks and content pillars that scale
  • Participate in content planning and calendar development
  • Stay ahead of platform trends, music culture, and fan behavior
Requirements:
  • 4 to 6+ years of social copywriting experience, ideally within music, entertainment, or culture-driven brands
  • Demonstrated experience owning and evolving a distinct brand voice on social
  • Strong understanding of platform nuances and audience behavior across major social channels
  • Proven ability to concept and contribute to large-scale social campaigns
  • Experience working in fast-paced, reactive environments
  • Excellent collaboration and presentation skills
  • Deep passion for music and culture
