* Stay up to date with the latest technology for post-production; bring forward solutions to the team.
* Establish, communicate, and enforce workflow, editing style, and other protocols.
* Support post-production, including color and sound needs, and technical maintenance.
* Collaborate with our operations team to maintain technology.
* Demonstrate support and understanding of our value of journalistic independence and a strong commitment to our mission to seek the truth and help people understand the world.
* This role reports to the Executive Producer of Podcast Video.
Basic Qualifications:
* 5+ years of experience in journalism or other relevant organization managing operations and video post-production.
* 2+ years of experience managing direct reports.
* Experience managing post-production work, including setting up, overseeing, and improving systems to increase department effectiveness.
* Expertise with the Adobe Creative Cloud post-production software.
* Demonstrated experience with Media Asset Managers, preferably Mimir.
* Demonstrated experience displaying analytical planning and project management, including the ability to identify strategic issues, frame and analyze problems in a structured way, and develop and implement solutions.
* Experience with project management tools (Airtable, Miro).
Preferred Qualifications:
* Strong communication and leadership skills.
* Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-moving news environment while staying calm under pressure.
* Thrives on teams built on trust, transparency, collaboration and empathy.
* Established record of building strong, trusting relationships, collaborating across disciplines and aligning stakeholders.
