Role Overview

As an Associate Creative Director, Pharma (Art) at /prompt, you shape the visual expression of scientifically grounded ideas. You translate clinical data, mechanism of action, and regulatory boundaries into powerful, ownable visual systems that are both inspiring and compliant.

You partner closely with Copy, Strategy, Audience Experience and Client Experience leads to ensure that every execution balances imagination with accuracy. You guide art direction across HCP and patient as well as branded and unbranded initiatives, ensuring clarity, consistency, and craft from concept through production and MLR approval.

With 8 to 10 years of creative experience, including significant pharmaceutical or healthcare exposure, you bring fluency in regulated environments, production expertise, and a growing creative leadership presence. You are confident navigating complexity and comfortable defending strong visual ideas within compliance constraints.

Skillset
  • Able to translate clinical data and strategic positioning into compelling, scientifically accurate visual narratives
  • Deep understanding of pharma regulatory frameworks, including MLR review processes, and how to design within them
  • Experienced in HCP and patient marketing across digital, print, experiential, and integrated campaigns
  • Strong command of visual systems, typography, layout, information hierarchy, and data visualization in regulated communications
  • Ability to distill complex medical information into intuitive infographics, charts, and branded visual frameworks
  • Anticipates medical and regulatory concerns early in concept development, proactively designing creative solutions that reduce risk and streamline MLR approval
  • Skilled at guiding production across photography, video, CGI, illustration, and digital builds, ensuring adherence to brand and regulatory standards
  • Experience overseeing select work streams and managing creative output from smaller teams
  • Ability to present and defend visual concepts to clients, internal stakeholders, and MLR teams with clarity and rationale
  • Encourages and motivates teams to deliver high-quality work under tight timelines and evolving feedback
  • Adept at synthesizing client and MLR feedback into smart refinements that protect the core idea
  • Demonstrates leadership presence, capable of standing in for a Creative Director when needed, setting priorities, managing workloads, negotiating timelines, and guiding budgets
  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical brands, lifecycle stages, competitive dynamics, and commercialization realities
  • Defined and evolving AI and visualization toolkit used responsibly to enhance concepting, prototyping, and production efficiency
