Overview:

The Assistant Package Designer will support the daily activities of the packaging department to ensure accurate and timely production of packaging materials.

Key Accountabilities:

• Assist in market research to support trend finds and new concepts
• Understand and support the print production process from start to finish
• Help to update artwork, copy, and corresponding files according to both written and verbal feedback across stakeholders
• Assist in troubleshooting and communicating issues pertaining to vendor approvals and/or production changes
• Update art and production files
• Help to send out standards and new developments to suppliers for review and pricing
• Track and update the packaging sample schedule to ensure deadlines are being met
• Help to update and maintain development tracking charts, packaging brief submits and quality standards library
• Communicate submit (sample & production) comments between the Packaging team and appropriate cross-functional teams
• Meet all deadlines in adherence to the seasonal design calendar
• Special projects as assigned

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities/

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Packaging Design, Graphic Design, Illustration, Fine Arts or related field
• Experience or internship in the fashion industry (children's wear knowledge a plus)
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, especially in Adobe Illustrator
• Excellent organizational, communication and presentation skills with attention to detail
• Work independently and effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Illustration skills a plus

Salary Description

$50,000 - $60,000 yearly
