Part-Time Photography and Video Editor

Genesis
10 is currently seeking a Part-Time Photography and Video Editor for a 6+ month contract position with a Major Financial Services Firm located in New York, NY.

This is a part-time role supporting ongoing content creation needs by providing consistent, high-quality visual assets. The estimated workload is a maximum of 10 hours per week for video editing, with on-site photography for scheduled events as needed. The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in both photo and video editing for web and social media platforms.

Photography Responsibilities:

• Provide on-site photography for scheduled events, ensuring consistent coverage and quality
• Serve as the primary photographer for events when the Communications Associate is unavailable, maintaining established standards and capturing all required content

Editing Responsibilities:

• Edit photo and video content in alignment with brand guidelines and creative direction
• Deliver polished final assets in requested formats
• Communicate progress, ask clarifying questions, and incorporate feedback in a timely manner
• Maintain consistent organization and naming conventions across all project files
• Protect confidentiality of all content and materials

Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience in photo and video editing via a portfolio
• Skilled in photo editing including color correction, retouching, cropping, and resizing
• Proficient in video editing including assembly, trimming, color grading, audio cleanup, basic motion graphics, and subtitles
• Strong understanding of color grading, audio balancing, and modern editing styles
• Experience editing for social platforms (Instagram, Linked In, You Tube)
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere, After Effects)
• Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis
  10 employees will be considered for this position.

Desired skills:

• Experience with content creation for short-form social media clips and longer-form videos
• Ability to work under tight deadlines with a 48-72 hour turnaround time expectation
• Excellent communication and file management practices
• Experience with file sharing via SharePoint, Teams, and ZIP files

Pay range: $40.00 - $45.00 per Hour
