This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of technical drawing, digital modeling, and architectural storytelling.
The right candidate will be an architect with a demonstrated interest in creating clean, cohesive visuals that distill complex ideas, including but not limited to plans, sections, elevations, axons, illustrations, data visualizations, and ideally animations.
The Architectural Graphics Specialist is a new role that will help define the look of KPF's drawings across past, present, and future projects of varied types, scales, and locations. This role will be a part of our growing global marketing team, a group of passionate writers, designers, and storytellers across the firm's New York, London, and Shanghai offices.
Primary Responsibilities
:
- Prepare and optimize architectural models and drawings in Rhino and Revit, creating publication-ready assets for print and online.
- Help define and implement a cohesive visual style for all KPF drawings and illustrations, working alongside the Content Director, Graphic Designer, and broader team.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including design leaders and technical experts, to create illustrations that meet both conceptual and technical standards.
- Organize and structure digital assets for efficient workflow and future use.
- 0-3 years of professional experience as an architect.
- Exceptional visual and graphic representation ability.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
- Proficiency in Rhino, with experience preparing and optimizing architectural models and drawings. Revit and Grasshopper proficiency a plus but not required. This position will offer the opportunity to learn Grasshopper.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in managing complex digital files.
- Ability to interpret and communicate technical architectural information visually.
- Bachelor's degree in architecture required, master's degree in architecture or graphic design preferred.
This position requires you to be in person in our New York office 5 days per week.
Pay Range:
$55,000.00 - $70,000.00 Annual
