Interior Architectural Designer - Commercial Interiors

Salary: $70,000 to $95,000 per year

Job Description:

Our client is an award-winning architecture and interiors firm based in New York City, known for delivering high-end, design-forward commercial spaces. They are seeking an Intermediate Interior Architectural Designer to join their growing interiors team, contributing to a variety of commercial, hospitality, and corporate interior projects.

This is a hands-on role offering leadership opportunities across all project phases-from concept to construction-on multiple interior projects of varying scale. The successful candidate will bring strong design sensibility, technical expertise, and experience in coordinating teams and consultants.

The requirements of the role are:

• 3 to 7 years of relevant post-graduate U.S. experience.
• Professional degree in Architecture or Interior Design from an accredited institution.
• Experience with commercial interiors, including amenity, hospitality, and workplace environments.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite; knowledge of Sketch Up and Enscape preferred.
• Strong understanding of NYC codes, ADA, and Landmarks regulations.
• Experience coordinating with consultants during DD, CD, and CA phases.
• Ability to produce and structure well-coordinated construction documents.
• Familiarity with sourcing materials and drafting custom architectural details.
• Confidence in managing projects through all phases with oversight from a Project Manager.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and mentor junior staff.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and graphic presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel within the NYC metro area for site visits and meetings.
