* + Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Nuclear, Chemical, or other), Physics, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
+ 8 years of experience in program management.
+ 8 years of experience in technology assessment, Research and Development (R&D) management, or technical consulting within the energy sector.
+ Experience performing technical due diligence for energy projects or venture capital/private equity investments.

Experience with power systems and the technical requirements for integrating advanced energy technologies into the grid.

* + PhD in a relevant engineering or scientific field.
+ 8 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
+ Experience in the development or deployment of "first-of-a-kind" (FOAK) energy technologies (e.g., advanced reactors, next-gen geothermal, or novel energy storage technologies).

Experience with project finance technical requirements and working with Independent Engineers (IEs).
+ Experience building cross-functional roadmaps that align technical capabilities with commercial and sustainability goals.
+ Ability to translate technical data into insights for executive-level decision-making.

In this role, you will be the primary technical authority evaluating the viability and scalability of advanced energy solutions. You will be responsible for defining the long-term technology roadmaps that guide Google's clean energy investments and performing technical and project-level diligence to support the formation of commercial partnerships.
