Job Description

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Structural Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural and civil engineering, hands-on inspection experience, and proficiency with industry-standard software tools. This role involves performing inspections, preparing engineering calculations, producing high-quality drawings, and collaborating closely with senior engineers, project managers, and clients to ensure the safety, compliance, and accuracy of all structural work.
Summary of Responsibilities

Perform complex data processing tasks utilizing Micro Station and AutoCAD software for civil and structural engineering projects under the direction of the Senior Engineer/Project Manager.

Prepare engineering calculations using software such as MathCAD, Enercalc, RISA 3D, Microsoft Excel, and other analysis tools as required.

Conduct self-checks on all assigned work to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements.

Implement and follow quality control procedures for drawings, calculations, and inspections.

Maintain a thorough understanding of industry standards, regulations, building codes, and best practices.

Communicate effectively with clients, providing responses within the same business day.

Collaborate with team members and supervisors, ensuring prompt responses and availability through Teams, Outlook, and phone during work hours.

Notify supervisors proactively when additional assignments or support are required.

Work collaboratively with engineers and other professionals to ensure accuracy and completeness of drawings, calculations, and inspection reports.

Visit project sites to conduct structural inspections, condition surveys, and field assessments as directed.

Document findings, prepare inspection reports, and recommend corrective actions where necessary.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

  Support project teams by checking and validating structural calculations, designs, and reports.
• Collaboration & Communication:
  Act as a liaison between clients, engineers, contractors, and project managers.
• Technical Expertise:
  Provide input and support on structural design tools and engineering practices.

Skills & Certifications

Software Proficiency (required):

• ETABS, SAFE, RAM Structural System, RAM Elements, SAP 2000
• AutoCAD, Advance Steel, Tekla Structures, Revit
• RFEM (Dlubal), RSTAB (Dlubal), Tower (Radimpex)
• Hilti Profis Anchor
• Microsoft Office Suite

Skills:

• Strong project coordination and resource management abilities.
• Ability to manage material resources efficiently in complex environments.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail with the ability to identify non-compliance issues quickly.

Certifications (preferred/required as applicable):

• OSHA 30 or equivalent safety certification
• ACI Grade I (Concrete Testing Technician)
• Field Concrete Technician Certification

Salary: $50-55/hour
