Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior MEP Project Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of complex mechanical, electrical, and plumbing scopes across major construction projects. This role requires deep technical expertise, strong field leadership, and the ability to drive schedule, budget, and quality outcomes in a fast‑paced environment.

You will serve as the primary MEP authority on the project team-overseeing design integration, field installation, subcontractor performance, and all project controls related to MEP systems.

️ Key Responsibilities

Planning & Coordination

* Lead MEP planning efforts, including design review, constructability analysis, and coordination with architects, engineers, and general contractors.

* Develop and maintain detailed project schedules for all MEP trades.

* Coordinate BIM workflows, clash detection, and field installation sequencing.

* Ensure all MEP work aligns with project specifications, codes, and industry standards.

Field Management

* Oversee daily field activities for MEP subcontractors, ensuring productivity, safety, and quality.

* Conduct regular site walks to verify installation progress and compliance.

* Resolve field issues quickly through collaboration with subcontractors and design teams.

* Enforce safety protocols and participate in site safety meetings.

Project Controls & Documentation

* Manage budgets, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and procurement for all MEP scopes.

* Track progress against schedule and budget, providing regular updates to project leadership.

* Review and approve subcontractor invoices and progress billings.

* Maintain accurate project documentation, logs, and reporting.

Required Skills & Experience

* 10+ years of experience in MEP project management or MEP coordination on commercial or large‑scale construction projects.

* Strong background in construction management and project coordination.

* Proven ability to manage subcontractors, schedules, and budgets effectively.

* Experience with BIM coordination and field installation sequencing.

* Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.

* Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and leadership abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

* SST certification

* PMP certification

* Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field

* Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Navisworks, or similar platforms

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of New York, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $160000.00/yr.
