Top land development/engineering firm is hiring multiple 3+ year geotechnical engineers for their NYC office!

Job Description:
- Geotechnical engineer in the field at least 70%-80% of the time
- Performing geotechnical support and inspections to commercial and residential projects throughout NYC
- Field work including soil sampling, coring, and soil boring
- Familiarity with AutoCAD to design earth structures, deep foundations, support of excavation and underpinning systems
- Geotechnical report writing including SOE, retaining walls, load test details, field forms/ standard logs, soil/ rock classifications, drilling logs, and calculations
Qualifications:
- 3+ years experience
- Degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering or Geology
- Perform field work including soil sampling, coring, and soil boring
- Oversee geotechnical investigations and construction projects, and perform inspections of geotechnical construction where needed
- Design earth structures, deep foundations, support of excavation and underpinning systems
- Geotechnical report writing
- Prepare standard logs and field forms, including drilling and test pit logs, field investigation, rock classification, etc.

Pay and benefits:
