Stantec's New York City office is seeking a Structural Engineer EIT to support engineering teams on large infrastructure design projects and pursuits. The engineer will work under direct supervision of a Design Manager or Senior Structural Engineer to assist on design infrastructure projects and public spaces. • Develop project design deliverables including design criteria, contract design documents, design specifications, quantities and related calculations for various design projects under Design/Build and Design/Bid/Build environments.
• Perform calculations independently using relevant bridge analysis and design software.
• Assist in resolving complex technical problems and exercise independent decision making.
• Perform construction phase services on behalf of the Designer of Record.
• Assist with client coordination including coordinating deliveries, submittals, meetings, review comments etc.

• Licensed or ability to obtain the Professional Engineer license in the States of NY and NJ.
• Proficiency in software such as STAAD, CSI Bridge, SAP, RISA, FBMP, PCA Structure Point Suite, MiDAS Civil, Auto Desk Structural Bridge Design, LARSA 4D, Bentley Open Bridge Designer and similar.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, Open Bridge and/Autodesk Construction Cloud, and Micro Station.
• Knowledge of bridge design and rating codes, legal and design requirements in relevant jurisdictions.
• Ability to solve problems using sound professional judgment, creativity, and innovation.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Experience with agencies such as NYSDOT, NYCDOT, MTA, PANYNJ, NJ Transit, Amtrak etc. is desired.

Bachelor's degree or Equivalent, Graduate Degree highly desired. Minimum 3 years of experience in structural design. Position will primarily work in an office setting.

Locations in NYC & CA (Bay Area) & NJ (RP)-$85,400.00 - $ Annually
