Job Title

Carollo Engineers is a leading engineering firm dedicated exclusively to water.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include interpreting contract drawings, implementing project baseline schedules, developing detailed estimate breakdowns, generating RFIs, preparing progress meeting agendas and minutes, conducting progress meetings and issues and tasks meetings, conducting daily coordination meetings, identifying potential change orders, negotiating change orders, developing engineers estimates, developing cost proposals for change orders, preparing inspector daily reports, managing payments, vetting subcontractors, reviewing shop drawings, EH&S plans, JHAs, EVAP, construction waste management plans, being proficient in E-Builder, PM software, AutoCAD, SCADA systems, and MS Office, reviewing construction schedules for compliance with contract documents, reviewing contractor schedule of values and payment applications, overseeing the timely workflow of construction documentation, working as a team with the contractor, client, field team, and designer, writing reports, mentoring and training less experienced construction/field engineers, being involved with the team that prepares proposals and conducts interviews, cultivating client relationships and helping pursue new opportunities, and some short-term travel may be required.

Qualifications

Qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related field, 10+ years of experience including a lead role in $20 million or greater construction value water/wastewater projects, experience focused in W/WW infrastructure and treatment plant projects, New York State Professional Engineers License is required or the ability to get one in six months, completion of OSHA 10-hour safety course, permit required confined space training, 4 hr.

scaffolding, fall protection, call before you dig 811, ability to communicate effectively with clients, contractors and lead engineer/project team, and deliver high quality services within budget and schedule constraints, highly motivated self-starter with the ability to learn quickly and be extremely organized, working knowledge of construction management software such as e-Builder, Prolog, Bentley EADOC, Procore, BIM 360, etc., working knowledge of construction scheduling software including Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project, working knowledge and understanding of construction methods, standards, specifications and plans, strong oral and written communications skills, strong computer skills, and proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications

NYCDEP Construction Management experience preferred.

Compensation Range

$ to $225,000 annually. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee's pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
