Environmental Project Manager (NYC Metro Area)

Make an impact on some of NYC's most complex remediation projects.

We're partnering with a growing environmental consulting firm with a strong backlog of work across NYC. They are looking to bring on an Environmental Project Manager who can lead high-profile investigation and remediation efforts while building strong client relationships and helping shape the future of their practice.

This is an opportunity to step into a visible, client-facing role where you'll manage projects from investigation through closure across the five boroughs, working closely with agencies like NYSDEC and NYC OER.

What You'll Be Doing

+ Lead environmental investigation and remediation projects from start to finish, including Phase I/II ESAs and remedial design/implementation

+ Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, owning communication, timelines, and deliverables

+ Prepare and review key regulatory submittals (RAWP, SMP, work plans, closure reports)

+ Oversee field activities including soil, groundwater, and vapor investigations, as well as construction/remediation oversight

+ Manage project financials (budgeting, forecasting, invoicing) to keep work on track and profitable

+ Coordinate with subcontractors, field teams, and internal staff across multiple concurrent projects

+ Support proposals and help drive continued growth of the practice

What They're Looking For

+ 6+ years of experience in environmental consulting with a focus on remediation and site investigation

+ Strong understanding of NYSDEC and NYC OER programs and regulatory processes

+ Proven experience managing projects, clients, and budgets

+ Hands-on technical experience (sampling, CAMP, construction oversight)

+ Strong report writing skills across Phase I/II ESAs and remedial documents

+ OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER; SST preferred

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New York, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $48.00/hr.
