Senior Mechanical Engineer
Location:
San Francisco or New York, on-site
Profile:
Senior Consultant
Skills Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or similar
- 5+ years primarily in consumer electronics and similar products
- Advanced solid/surface modeling, Solid Works preferred
- DFM/DFA across injection molding, sheet metal stamping, machining, and casting
- Vendor-ready documentation: 3D CAD, 2D drawings, BOMs, assembly instructions
- Prototyping (3D printing, casting, rapid tooling) plus hands-on electronics/firmware prototyping
- Confident client-facing presentation and storytelling
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Owns mechanical engineering activities autonomously across interdisciplinary projects, from concept through design-for-manufacturability to production
- Leads client conversations within their domain, framing trade-offs to guide client choices
- Mentors junior engineers and contributes to the global engineering community of practice
- Opportunity to lead small project teams and contribute to business development (proposals, pitches)
