Senior Accountant

Description

Our client, a growing, design-forward Hospitality group, is looking for a Senior Accountant to play a critical role in overseeing the accounting function across all entities. This organization is known for creating standout dining experiences and building strong teams behind the scenes. This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for owning the monthly close, ensuring financial accuracy, strengthening internal controls, and serving as a trusted partner to finance leadership.

Responsibilities will include:

· Oversee core accounting functions including financial reporting, controls, banking, tax coordination, and audit support

· Manage the monthly close process for all entities, ensuring timely and accurate P& L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements

· Prepare, review, and approve journal entries (accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, intercompany allocations) with strong audit trails

· Oversee accounts payable workflows & accounts receivable processes

· Review and maintain monthly reconciliations for all bank, credit card, and balance sheet accounts

· Ensure adherence to internal controls across cash handling, purchasing, and expense approvals; recommend and implement process improvements

· Maintain and enhance accounting policies, procedures, and documentation

Requirements

· Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field

· 4+ years of experience, experience with a background in Restaurant/Hospitality

· Highly analytical and data-driven, with the ability to synthesize information for decision-making

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with deadlines and pressure
