The Accounts Payable Supervisor leads daily payables operations for a high-volume environment, ensuring vendor obligations and employee reimbursements are processed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with company policy. This role oversees staff performance, drives process improvements, and supports reporting and compliance initiatives while maintaining strong internal and external business relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the day-to-day performance of the accounts payable function supporting significant monthly invoice volume
Maintain and administer the payables platform, including user access, account mapping, and policy configurations
Ensure vendor invoices, reimbursements, and payment cycles are processed accurately and within established timelines
Partner with finance leadership to compile and analyze payables data, supporting reporting metrics and operational performance indicators
Lead accounts payable close activities, ensuring all liabilities are properly recorded and reconciled
Review employee expense submissions for compliance with corporate guidelines and audit standards
Evaluate and approve invoices that fall outside of purchase order workflows
Provide leadership, training, and mentorship to accounts payable staff, including performance coaching and development planning
Identify and implement workflow enhancements and system efficiencies to improve productivity and controls
Support regulatory and tax reporting requirements related to vendor payments
Coordinate with international payables teams to ensure consistency in global processes and assist with cross-border issue resolution
Serve as backup support for payment execution and processing as needed

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience
Strong background in accounts payable operations and automated payables systems (ERP experience required; Oracle preferred)
Prior experience supervising or leading accounting staff
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage competing deadlines
Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments

Compensation: $75,000
Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
