The Finance Coordinator supports the day-to-day financial operations of the office, partnering closely with Account, Production, Strategy, and Operations teams. This role ensures financial accuracy, supports budget tracking, and helps maintain strong fiscal discipline across projects and retainers.
We're looking for someone detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-moving creative environment.
Brain time means pay time. The residency pays $22 an hour, plus overtime, a housing stipend, and monthly OMNY card.
Major Responsibilities/Primary Functions include but are not limited to:
* Assist with monthly close processes, reconciliations, and reporting
* Support accounts payable and receivable processes
* Track client billing, revenue recognition, and project reconciliations
* Maintain vendor records and ensure accurate documentation
* Partner with Account and Production teams to track job budgets and expenses
* Monitor burn rates and flag discrepancies
* Assist in preparing client financial reports and summaries
* Support forecasting and revenue tracking
* Maintain financial systems and ensure data integrity
* Assist with contract processing and documentation
* Support special projects as needed
Qualifications, Distinguishing Characteristics and
Special Requirements
* 0-1 years of experience in finance, accounting, or business operations
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
* Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills
* High attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
* Clear communicator with strong cross-functional collaboration skills
