FP&A Analyst

Description

We are looking for an FP& A Analyst to join a mission-driven nonprofit organization in Manhattan, NY. In this role, you will partner with finance leadership to support planning, forecasting, reporting, and strategic analysis that guide operational and financial decisions. This position offers the opportunity to build meaningful financial models, deliver actionable insights, and collaborate across departments in a results-oriented environment.

Responsibilities:

- Partner with the VP of Finance and cross-functional teams to support the annual budget cycle, including gathering inputs, evaluating submissions, and preparing summary materials for leadership review.

- Lead monthly forecast updates by collecting data from stakeholders, analyzing changes in performance, and presenting comparisons against budget, prior forecasts, and historical results.

- Produce financial analyses and KPI-driven reporting tailored to nonprofit operations to help leaders make informed business decisions.

- Build and maintain financial models that support annual operating plans, long-range planning, and organizational performance objectives.

- Work with the Development team to create and refine revenue analysis models that improve visibility into funding trends and performance.

- Strengthen reporting accuracy by incorporating newly added or developed assets into the organization's financial reporting structure.

- Design and improve analytical tools, templates, and reporting processes to enhance transparency and support ad hoc analysis requests.

- Contribute to finance process improvement efforts by helping implement changes, document updated workflows, and communicate new practices to relevant teams.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

- At least 4 years of experience in corporate FP& A or a comparable financial planning and analysis role.

- Advanced Excel skills with financial modeling capabilities.
