Through its numerous supportive programs such as Vocational Training, Day Habilitation, Medicaid Service Coordination and Community Habilitation, JUF uses an individualized approach to help each person maximize their potential.

Position Summary:

Jewish Union Foundation seeks dedicated staff member to provide direct care to individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities. Direct Support Professionals (DSP) provide direct care and vocational training to individuals with developmental disabilities in a day program setting. Staff will provide guidance and support to individuals related to their individual goals.

Responsibilities Include:

• Working one-on-one with individuals as well as leading group sessions

• Job Coaching at training and various work sites

• Monitoring individuals' goals and progress

• Providing social skills training in individual and group settings

• Ensuring paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely manner

• Creating and implementing group activities

Transportation of individuals to/from program in the morning and afternoon. As well as to job sites and community outings throughout the day.

• Supporting individuals in different community settings

• Supporting individuals with varying capabilities and behaviors

Qualification Requirements:

• A desire to work with adults with disabilities

• Ability to provide positive motivation to others and act as a role model

• Ability to work well with others

• Ability to be flexible and work in different settings

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience with /DD population and OPWDD

• Driver's License

Salary:

Salary Range: $18-$19/hour
