What You'll Do
* Delivers a superb candidate experience that begins with the initial phone call all the way through delivering onboarding
* Creates, compiles, or designs services and events that communicate the organization's information, services aligned by mission; builds and manages employer branding and visibility to external candidates.
* Implements recruitment processes related to the recruitment cycle, vacancy announcement, screening, coordinating interviews, conducting reference checks, and informing employees of their hiring status.
* Coordinate logistics for career fairs and other Talent Acquisition activities, as necessary.
* Supports the onboarding process for new hires, transfers and temporary staff.
* Competes new hire paperwork and background checks.
* Creates new employee files and ensures paperwork is complete and in compliance.
* Enter employee information/changes in ADP Workforce Now.
* Performs file audits to ensure that all required employee documentation is collected and maintained.
* Assists employees and supervisors with basic interpretation of HR policies and procedures.
* Records employee information such as personal data, compensation, benefits, tax data, attendance, performance reviews or evaluations, and termination date and reason in HRIS System.
* Supports coordination of the new hire process (schedule appointments, process paperwork, identity and verify credentials, creation, fingerprint scheduling)
* Conducts review of employee documents and ensures all required clearances are met in accordance with funder and agency requirements
* Assist with performing employee background checks including but not limited to:
Fingerprinting appointments, Statewide Central Registry Checks, Sex Offender Registry Checks, SEL, Streamline Verify, and SSN
* Works integrally with associated teams to create, manage coordinate and deliver New Hire Orientation training (globally) to internal and external partners and customers.
* All other duties as assigned.
Your Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree preferred
* 1-2 years of experience as an HR Assistant plus 1 year of experience in Recruiting
* Ability to work in a high-volume environment, including ability to balance priorities and meet important deadlines
* Strong attention to detail and follow through
* Effective communication and customer service skills
* Bilingual Spanish preferred
