Position: Payroll, Benefits & HR Operations Specialist
Job Summary

Reporting to the Head of Human Resources, this role will be responsible for managing payroll and benefits operations, supporting recruitment logistics, and assisting with immigration documentation. This position may also support other HR operational needs as the organization scales. Job Description
  • - Process accurate and timely semi-monthly payroll for multi-state employees using a cloud-based payroll platform
  • - Maintain payroll records including new hires, terminations, compensation changes, and deductions
  • - Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
  • - Partner with the Finance team for payroll reporting, audits, and reconciliations
  • - Experience with ADP platforms (e.g., Workforce Now) is strongly preferred
  • - Administer employee benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), and FSA/HSA
  • - Support benefit enrollments, changes, and employee inquiries
  • - Coordinate with third-party benefit providers and brokers
  • - Assist with benefits billing and open enrollment administration
  • - Support recruitment operations, including interview scheduling, candidate communication, and offer documentation
  • - Coordinate onboarding processes and maintain HRIS records
  • - Assist with immigration-related documentation and liaise with immigration counsel when necessary
  • - Ensure accurate completion of I-9 and E-Verify processes
  • - Support general HR operations as needed, including employee data management, reporting, compliance filings, policy updates, and special projects
Qualifications
  • - Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business, Accounting, or a related field
  • - 1?4 years of experience in payroll, benefits, or general HR operations
  • - Understanding of multi-state payroll practices and benefits administration
  • - Strong preference for candidates with ADP payroll platform experience
  • - Familiarity with U.S. immigration and work authorization processes is a plus
  • - High attention to detail, reliability, and confidentiality
  • - Strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills
  • - Proficiency in MS Excel and cloud-based HR/payroll platforms
  • - Experience in a startup or high-growth company is an advantage
