Job Description & How to Apply Below
* This role requires a hybrid schedule and will be based in our South Charlotte, NC Headquarters or our New York, NY Office (Monday through Thursday) and work fully remotely on Fridays each week.

Moving is one of life's most stressful experiences - over 100 critical decisions that shape your next chapter. At the heart of this journey is Change of Address (COA), a critical step we power through our exclusive partnership with USPS. We're transforming moving from stress into discovery, making it not just easier but genuinely exciting. You'll own a critical piece: helping users succeed in their early moving decisions through perfectly-timed partnerships and guidance.

The Director of Product will lead the product team behind USPS Change of Address, an experience that touches 25 million families every year at one of the most stressful moments in their lives.

The catch: the core COA experience lives on , not ours. You're building in someone else's house - their brand guidelines, their privacy regulations, their technical infrastructure, their approval processes.

Some PMs would hate that. We want someone who sees it as a hard problem worth solving. Constraints force creativity and the scale matters. This role focuses on an exclusive partnership affecting millions of people trying to make their lives less chaotic.

What You'll Do:

* Navigate the USPS Partnership:
Build trust with a government partner. Push for better user outcomes while respecting real constraints. Turn limitations into advantages where you can.

* Set Product Strategy:
Define multi-quarter vision for the mover experience. Decide what to bet on, what to kill, and how to sequence. Explain the "why" to leadership and your team.

* Build Team Capability:
Lead 4-5 PMs and PM-adjacent roles. Help them think more strategically, work through challenges with them, raise the bar for product work.

* Prototype and Validate Fast:
You don't wait for engineering to test ideas. You build functional prototypes, run scrappy experiments, and bring data to the conversation.

* Lead User Research Directly:
No dedicated research team means you're hands-on. Design studies, conduct interviews, analyze findings, and translate insights into product decisions.

* Connect Across Stakeholders:
Work with engineering, design, data, partnerships, finance, and marketing. Keep everyone aligned without formal authority over most of them.

What We're Looking For:

Required

* 8+ years in product management, with 3+ years managing teams of 4+ people

* Track record of driving measurable business outcomes (revenue, retention, monetization), not just shipping features

* Experience navigating external constraints: regulated industries, government partnerships, or complex B2B2C relationships where you didn't control the full experience

* History of developing product talent, with specific people you've grown (not just "managed a team")

* Consumer or B2B2C product experience with strong consumer UX sense (marketplace, e-commerce, fintech, or similar)

* Hands-on user research experience:
You've designed and conducted research yourself - recruiting participants, running sessions, synthesizing findings - not just directing a research team

* Prototyping ability:
You can build functional prototypes to test ideas quickly using Figma, low-code tools, or code. You don't wait for engineering to validate concepts

* Active AI tool usage:
You use AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, etc.) in your daily work for research, analysis, prototyping, or ideation. Not just awareness, but actual integration into how you work

* Strong analytical skills:
You're comfortable with data - pulling it, analyzing it, building models, defining metrics. You can go from raw data to insight to decision without waiting for a data team to hand you answers

Nice to Have

* Experience with government or quasi-government partnerships

* Background in travel, moving, or life-event consumer products

* Experience balancing user experience with monetization (partner offers, ads, upsells)

* Shipped products that incorporate AI/ML features

* Can write basic code or use tools like Cursor, Replit, or v0 to create working prototypes

What Success Looks Like in Year 1:

* Strengthen USPS Partnership:
Build trust through consistent delivery. Navigate constraints while pushing for better user outcomes.

* Improve User Outcomes:
Measurable improvements in completion rates and user satisfaction. Make moving less stressful.

* Grow Revenue Responsibly:
Surface partner offers in ways users value, not interruptively. Balance UX with business results.

* Develop Your Team:
Raise the bar for product work. Grow your PMs into stronger strategic thinkers.

* Establish Research Practice:
Build repeatable user research into the team's operating rhythm, even without dedicated researchers.

Who Thrives vs. Struggles Here:

You'll thrive if you:

* See constraints as problems to solve, not blockers

* Can operate on your own while staying aligned with leadership

* Get energy from developing others, not just doing…
