Senior Expert Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Senior Scrum Master / Senior Expert Project Manager to lead complex, high-impact initiatives across Finance Technology and AI-driven projects. This role will drive the organization’s strategic agenda by ensuring successful planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale programs. The ideal candidate brings strong agile leadership, the ability to operate independently, and experience delivering complex technology projects within medium-to-large enterprise environments, ideally in financial services.

You will lead cross-functional teams, guide agile delivery, and ensure alignment between stakeholders, business goals, and technical teams while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.

• Lead cross-functional agile teams as Scrum Master and project leader, ensuring adherence to Scrum and agile best practices.

• Drive execution of strategic initiatives and oversee complex, multi-year or high-impact projects.

• Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives) and ensure continuous improvement.

• Translate high-level business requirements into detailed functional specifications and project plans.

• Partner with Product Owners, stakeholders, and leadership to define scope, priorities, and deliverables for Finance Technology and AI projects.

• Track project milestones, risks, and dependencies; implement mitigation strategies and escalate issues as needed.

• Manage project budgets, reporting, and governance in alignment with organizational policies.

• Provide regular status updates, reports, and executive-level presentations on schedule, scope, and costs.

• Lead process improvements, agile transformation efforts, and adoption of best-practice project management methodologies.

• Remove team impediments and ensure focus on sprint goals and delivery timelines.

• Mentor and coach team members on agile practices, fostering a culture of collaboration, ownership, and transparency.

• Serve as subject matter expert for complex initiatives and ad-hoc strategic projects.

• Support backlog grooming, user story refinement, and AI-enabled requirement analysis where applicable.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).

• 5–10 years of experience in Scrum Master, Agile Project Manager, or similar leadership role.

• Proven experience leading technology delivery in medium-to-large, complex environments.

• Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and agile transformation initiatives.

• Experience managing projects within Banking, Financial Services, or Fin Tech environments.

• Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence, Azure Dev Ops).

• Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.

• Ability to lead independently, drive conversations, and execute with minimal guidance.

• Experience with AI/ML or data-driven technology initiatives.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and big data ecosystems (Spark, Hadoop).

• Conceptual understanding of AI frameworks (e.g., Tensor Flow) and analytics environments.

• Certifications such as CSM, PSM, PMP, or equivalent agile/project management credentials.

• Basic knowledge of SQL or database structures.
