The Ad Operations Associate is responsible for the implementation, monitoring, and optimization of digital advertising campaigns. This is a detail-oriented, analytical, and client-support-focused role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
This position owns the tactical, day-to-day execution of advertising campaigns while also supporting strategic revenue growth across assigned accounts. The Ad Operations Associate works closely with Sales, Account Management, and internal teams to ensure campaigns deliver accurately, perform effectively, and meet client expectations.
What You’ll DoDevelop a strong understanding of site ad functionality and all available ad products
Implement, manage, and optimize digital advertising campaigns from launch through completion
Monitor campaign pacing and delivery, making adjustments to align with client performance goals
Conduct proactive daily analysis to identify optimization opportunities
Produce campaign performance reports using analytical tools
Troubleshoot and resolve delivery, targeting, creative, and trafficking issues
Coordinate with internal teams and external clients to ensure successful campaign execution
Manage billing reconciliation and delivery reporting to support accurate invoicing
Handle day-to-day ad placement, scheduling, updates, and rich media executions
Prepare and edit basic HTML used to deliver ad creative
Maintain strong task and time management in a deadline-driven environment
Perform additional duties as assigned
1–2 years of hands-on online ad trafficking or ad operations experience
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Ability to manage multiple campaigns and priorities simultaneously
Comfort working under tight deadlines in a changing environment
Working knowledge of ad-serving platforms, particularly Google Ad Manager (formerly DFP)
Experience with third-party ad tags (e.g., Double Click, Sizmek, Atlas, etc.)
Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with clients and cross-functional teams
Self-starter mentality with the ability to take initiative and work with minimal supervision
Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus
This role requires frequent communication via email, phone, and video conferencing. The employee will regularly work in a stationary position using computers and office productivity tools, including standard software applications. Occasional movement between work locations may be required.
