Our client is seeking a Product/Design Engineer to join their growing team. This role blends front-end engineering expertise with a strong product and design mindset, helping to shape user-facing applications from prototype to production. The ideal candidate is as comfortable building reusable design systems as they are making thoughtful UX decisions backed by data and research. This is an onsite position based in New York City, NY.

Starting at $180,000/year.

Product/Design Engineer's Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Develop and maintain production-ready front-end applications using React and Type Script.
  • Build and scale design systems, reusable UI components, and performance-optimized interfaces.
  • Translate user research and product metrics into actionable design and UX decisions.
  • Rapidly prototype new features and drive them through to production quality.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and design teams to deliver seamless user experiences.
  • Communicate design principles effectively to customers, stakeholders, and team members.
Product/Design Engineer's Qualifications and Skills:
  • Proven experience building production front-end applications with React and Type Script.
  • Strong product intuition with the ability to balance user needs and business goals.
  • Experience developing and maintaining scalable design systems.
  • Ability to ship prototypes quickly and iterate toward production-quality solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate design principles to both technical and non-technical audiences.
