IT & Security Governance Consultant

Our client is seeking an IT & Security Governance Consultant to serve as a key partner between technology, security, and the business. This role focuses heavily on audit facilitation, metrics reporting, and governance processes, requiring someone who is detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable owning complex requests from start to finish. This is a hybrid position based in the New York City Metropolitan area.

Starting at $50/hour.
IT & Security Governance Consultant's Responsibilities and Duties:

• Own and manage the end-to-end audit process, serving as the primary point of contact for both internal and external auditors
• Facilitate, track, and respond to ongoing audit and governance requests across the business
• Develop, automate, and maintain metrics reporting using advanced Excel functionality to streamline data collection and analysis
• Create clear, executive-ready presentations in PowerPoint to communicate audit findings, risk metrics, and governance insights
• Partner closely with technology, security, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure timely delivery of information
• Apply critical thinking to identify process improvements and reduce manual effort wherever possible

IT & Security Governance Consultant's Qualifications and Skills:

• At least 5 years of professional experience in information security, technology risk, governance, or a related field
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly
• Big 4 consulting background strongly preferred
• Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, formulas, pivot tables, and automation techniques
• Strong PowerPoint skills with experience building polished, professional presentations
