IT Support Technician (Part‑Time)
Job Title: IT Support Technician
Location: Manhattan, NY (on-site) with local travel as needed
Compensation: $45,000 – $55,000 (annualized - job is for 27 hrs/week equivalent; based on experience)
Hours: Part-Time — 27 hours/week
Employment Type: Temp-to-Perm
A New York–based organization is seeking a part-time IT Support Technician to provide hands-on technical support across multiple local sites. This role supports day‑to‑day device setup, troubleshooting, MDM administration, and ticket management. It’s a great fit for someone early in their IT career who enjoys being onsite, solving problems directly, and working in a dynamic, fast-moving environment.
What You’ll Do- Install, configure, and troubleshoot laptops, desktops, mobile devices, printers, and VoIP phones
- Provide onsite support for software, hardware, and basic network issues
- Manage device provisioning, imaging, and replacements
- Administer account setup and access changes in Microsoft 365 and Active Directory
- Support mobile device management (Intune/ABM)
- Update and maintain the IT ticketing system and documentation
- Assist with inventory, equipment distribution, and small-scale IT projects
- Coordinate with external vendors and technical partners as needed
- 1–2+ years of IT support or help desk experience
- Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and device provisioning
- Experience with MDM tools (Intune, ABM, or similar)
- Basic networking familiarity (LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi troubleshooting)
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to travel locally to different sites as needed
- Comfort working independently and handling multiple priorities
- Experience supporting multi-location environments
- Exposure to Ubiquiti, Cisco, or HP networking hardware
- Familiarity with vendor coordination (hardware suppliers, telecom, ISP, etc.)
- Hands-on, impactful work that keeps daily operations running smoothly
- Broad exposure across device support, MDM, ticketing, and small project work
- Stable hours with growth potential into a full-time role
