Job Description :
Policy writer resource required to support emerging technology policies, standards and procedures. Policy pipeline and technology writing is a specialized skillset requiring contingent labor resources. Qualified candidates may be required to provide writing samples.
Primary Job Duties/Tasks:
  • Responsible for the creation and maintenance of policies and procedure documentation for technology concepts.
  • Translate technical or complicated information into clear, concise documents for various audiences.
  • Review, critique, and edit documentation, including existing and draft documents
  • Work with technology control management leads and technology/application teams to produce policy documentation and technology process documentation, including multiple levels of policy guidance, technical procedures, and documentation for use by control management, technology, and the business community.
  • Interview subject matter experts and technical staff to collect information, prepare written text, and coordinate material organization within defined structures.
  • Lead or assist in business requirement gathering sessions and work with stakeholders to document business requirements.
  • Develop and lead the implementation of business process improvement recommendations.
  • Maintenance of the internal documentation library, providing or coordinating special documentation services, and the oversight of special projects.
  • Manage expectations of diverse stakeholders and provide regular briefings to management.
  • Work independently as part of a larger cross-functional team.
  • Help with project coordination, support, and documentation.
Required Experience/

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum of 10 years of experience in technical writing, research, and documentation (Minimum of 15+ years without degree), background in Financial Services, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 10+ years experience in relevant field
  • Policy writing background: policy writing, analyst, research, emerging technology
  • Proficient in Microsoft suite of products and collaboration tools
  • An understanding of internal auditing practices and challenges to policy and procedure documentation
  • Excellent technical writing skills including research and policy documentation
  • Familiarity with a wide range of different emerging technologies
  • Hard working, self-motivated individual who is comfortable handling ambiguity and able to successfully complete tasks within deadlines with limited supervision
  • Ability to analyze and synthesize information to draw accurate, logical, and actionable conclusions
