Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Application Support Specialist to join our team. This role goes beyond traditional L1 support by providing crucial expertise at the L3 level. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation and support of critical applications, particularly during high-stakes market opening and closing activities in the US region.

• Provide US regional support, collaborating closely with various teams to ensure seamless start and end-of-day market activities.
• Address time-sensitive user queries, conducting in-depth investigations and delivering prompt resolutions leveraging both business acumen and technical proficiency.
• Analyze Java code and offer actionable solutions, often influencing development decisions and timelines.
• Exhibit proficiency with Client technologies, including vendor products like Client, CTM, and SWIFT, and swiftly adapt to new technologies such as SSRS reporting to meet diverse user needs.
• Lead end-to-end management of longer-duration projects, such as the SQL Reporting Server decommission, involving extensive collaboration with DBA teams and management of over 500 users and 250+ reports.
• Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) activities, conducting failure analyses, automating tasks, and reducing operational toil.
• Demonstrate exceptional ability to perform under pressure, effectively managing critical situations and stakeholder expectations.
• Manage schedules efficiently, contribute to team training, facilitate onboarding processes, conduct interviews, and support team development initiatives.
• Serve as the primary US contact for an expanded application landscape, investing personal time to ensure comprehensive knowledge and effective support.
• Maintain a positive attitude and readiness to assist, frequently working weekends to resolve time-critical incidents and contribute innovative solutions.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience in application support, with a focus on L3 support and complex issue resolution.
• Strong technical proficiency, including Java analysis, SQL, and familiarity with financial industry technologies (e.g., Client, CTM, SWIFT).
• Experience with SSRS reporting and other relevant technologies.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in high-pressure environments.
• Excellent communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across teams and interact with senior stakeholders.
• Project management experience, including SDLC adherence and successful project delivery.
• Prior experience in SRE activities, automation, and operational efficiency improvements is highly desirable.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and weekends as needed.
