SharePoint Customer Engineer
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Microsoft Customer Engineer specializing in SharePoint Development. The ideal candidate will possess advanced technical skills and experience in SharePoint Development, advisory, architecture, consulting, and support to assist customers in driving solutions and resolutions. This customer-facing role requires excellent communication skills to interact with technical, non-technical, and leadership contacts.
Location:
New York City, New York (Hybrid onsite 1-3 days a week)
- Analyze and troubleshoot complex technical issues related to SharePoint environments and provide effective solutions.
- Provide guidance to development teams on SharePoint development best practices.
- Plan, deploy, operate, and optimize on-premises, hybrid, and online SharePoint environments and solutions.
- Utilize advanced skills in SharePoint development, customization, and the SharePoint Framework (SPFx).
- Work with JavaScript, REST APIs, and SharePoint custom development, including web part development.
- Leverage strong Power Shell skills for SharePoint-related tasks.
Experience:
10-15 years of experience in a senior customer-facing role involving systems architecture, administration, software support, or IT consulting for enterprise or government customers, with a focus on SharePoint customization and development.
Education:
A BA/BS degree or higher in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Technical
Skills:
- Expertise in SharePoint Server and SharePoint Online.
- Advanced skills with SharePoint Framework (SPFx) development.
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript, REST APIs, and SharePoint custom development.
- Proficiency with Power Shell and SharePoint Client Side Object Model (CSOM).
- Broad knowledge of Azure infrastructure (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
- Familiarity with SQL Server configuration and maintenance practices for SharePoint.
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 Archive, Data Security, and Governance solutions for SharePoint Online and One Drive.
- Understanding of Graph API related to SharePoint Online and One Drive.
- Knowledge of migration and upgrade techniques for SharePoint Server.
- Advanced knowledge of SQL Server use with SharePoint Server.
- Advanced knowledge of the use of Graph API.
- Experience with Azure Dev Ops, Git Hub, and CI/CD life cycles.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365 Backup and Microsoft 365 Archive.
- Familiarity with Well-Architected Framework and Cloud Adoption Framework concepts.
- Relevant certifications in SharePoint or Microsoft technologies are a plus.
