Infrastructure Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and optimize enterprise IT infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have expertise in servers, virtualization, networking, storage, cloud platforms, automation, and system security. You will work closely with Dev Ops, Security, Application, and IT Operations teams to ensure highly available, scalable, and secure infrastructure services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and manage enterprise infrastructure, including compute, storage, networking, and virtualization.
• Install, configure, and maintain Windows and Linux servers.
• Manage cloud infrastructure on AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Monitor infrastructure performance, availability, and capacity planning.
• Implement and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
• Configure and manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and identity management services.
• Troubleshoot hardware, operating system, network, and application infrastructure issues.
• Implement infrastructure security controls, patch management, and vulnerability remediation.
• Collaborate with Dev Ops teams to support CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native deployments.
• Maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and architecture diagrams.
• Ensure compliance with organizational security and governance policies.

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Linux administration.
• Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, or Nutanix.
• Understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Knowledge of storage technologies such as SAN, NAS, and object storage.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, or Cloud Formation).
• Familiarity with scripting using Power Shell, Bash, or Python.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix, Nagios, or Solar Winds.
• Knowledge of backup and recovery solutions.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3–7+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering or systems administration.
• Experience supporting hybrid cloud environments.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with IT service management (ITSM) processes and tools.
• Familiarity with Zero Trust architecture and security best practices.
