Senior AVEVA PI Administrator
Hybrid work environment requires 3 days onsite (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday), 2 days remote (Monday, Friday).
We are seeking a Senior AVEVA PI Administrator to support and enhance the PI Data Historian infrastructure for Electric and Gas Control Center operations. This role is responsible for the architecture, administration, integration, support, and continuous improvement of a large-scale enterprise PI environment supporting critical operational systems.
The ideal candidate will have deep experience with AVEVA/OSIsoft PI System technologies, high-availability infrastructure, operational technology integrations, and enterprise analytics solutions. This position requires strong technical leadership, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently in a highly available 24x7 operational environment.
Job Description:
- Create, modify, and maintain an enterprise PI System with 1.5 million or more PI tags.
- Implement PI Data Archive high availability and disaster recovery.
- Implement PI AF high availability and disaster recovery.
- Implement PI Vision high availability and disaster recovery.
- Create and maintain PI AF element templates and AF elements.
- Develop PI-based dashboards using PI Vision and Process Book.
- Configure PI AF Analytics, PI Notifications, and PI Event Frames.
- Support PI interfaces, including:
- PI API
- OPC DA/UA
- RDBMS
- PI to PI
- PI DNP3
- Support PI Integrator for Business Analytics (PII4BA).
- Design, develop, and commission PI dashboards, BI reports, and bespoke applications using AVEVA/OSIsoft PI System Access technologies, including:
- PI SDK
- AF SDK
- PI OLEDB
- Power Shell
- Ensure high availability of all PI infrastructure supporting enterprise systems.
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, identify root causes, and maintain a strong focus on physical and cybersecurity.
- Integrate enterprise business systems with AVEVA/OSIsoft PI software.
- Support, maintain, architect, and develop PI Data Historian infrastructure supporting Distribution Electric, Gas, and Steam Control Centers.
- Perform configuration, coding, and testing related to the PI Data Historian.
- Manage the technical aspects of assigned projects, including planning and resolving application issues.
- Respond to system alerts 24x7x365 on a scheduled basis to resolve issues and ensure application availability.
- Design and develop code for Control Center applications as required.
- Ensure the continuous availability of the OSI PI Historian for Distribution Electric, Gas, and Steam Control Centers by implementing system enhancements, monitoring server status, and responding to alerts.
- Periodically review and update procedures and disaster recovery documents related to the PI Historian infrastructure and associated systems, including OMS and SCADA.
- Apply knowledge of ITIL processes and support activities.
- Use ITIL tools such as Service Now.
- Communicate effectively with sponsors, stakeholders, and team members.
- Report on project status, issues, key activities, and changes to the overall project charter.
- Identify and communicate resource conflicts.
- Perform other related tasks and assignments as required.
