Lead Data Scientist
Reach Financial, LLC. seeks a Lead Data Scientist in New York, NY responsible for utilizing advanced mathematical and analytical methods to develop credit underwriting strategy and risk-based pricing strategy using data analytics. The role involves identifying, researching, analyzing, and optimizing statistical and segmentation tools to develop acquisition risk strategies for personal loan products. The position requires conducting data driven analytics utilizing sophisticated analytical tools, software, and techniques.
Collaboration with the team is necessary to generate and implement automated and scalable versions of loan acquisition programs, as well as to track and analyze performance of various tests and acquisition programs to evaluate their effectiveness. Analytical, statistical, and programming skills are needed to collect, analyze and interpret large datasets. The job also involves developing data-driven business solutions, mining and analyzing data from internal database and external vendor to optimize and improve business decisioning, researching and evaluating new data vendors and making recommendations, building and maintaining data products, developing predictive models to optimize various functions across the organization, including marketing, risk, and operations, and developing processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy.
The position allows for a hybrid schedule with three (3) days in office and two (2) days remote.
Minimum requirements include a Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Operation Research, Industrial Engineering or Computer Science and five (5) years of experience as a Data Scientist or in a related occupation. At least five (5) years of experience with extracting, cleaning, manipulating datasets and building statistical models, utilizing Python to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets, applying unsupervised and supervised machine learning algorithms, and applying algorithms' fundamentals and leveraging the best algorithm hyperparameters is required.
Additionally, at least three (3) years of experience with consumer unsecured lending, consumer credit bureau data, and cloud service providers including but not limited to AWS is necessary. The position is hybrid and allows three (3) days in the office and two (2) days remote.
Salary: $170,000 - $190,000 per year.
