We need: A senior (10+ years) Project manager with experience Managing Data and BI projects in an Insurance or Re Insuarance

Job Description:

Job Summary:

Looking for candidates for a Project Manager role to manage Data and BI projects. The Project Manager must be in the New York metropolitan area and be required in the NYC office 3 days a week. The Project Manager must be able to manage a team which is geographically dispersed, mainly between US, UK and India. The role is within the IT organization and the PM will work mostly with the development and technology group.

We will count on you to:

• Develop project plans and timelines and coordinate with the workstream leads and business owner. Maintain backlogs, user stories and task boards
• Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to provide updates, status and manage expectations.
• Manage cross-functional teams, including data analyst, engineers and stakeholders ensuring collaboration and alignment towards project goals.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and issues and develop contingency plans as needed.
• Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs, ensuring proper documentation and approval processes.
• Manage project budgets, including cost estimation, tracking and reporting
• Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and align with business objectives.
• Monitor project progress and performance, adjusting plans as necessary to stay on track.
• Prepare and present regular project status reports to stakeholders and senior management.
• Conduct project evaluations to identify successes and areas for improvement.

Proficient in IT project management methodologies, both Agile and Waterfall.

• Technical Knowledge:
Understanding of software development processes, data management principles, methodologies and tools, Azure fundamentals, Proficiency in Jira or ADO is preferred
