Sr. Kafka Admin/Platform Engineer
Location - New York City, NY (Hybrid)
Duration – 12 Months plus contract
Rate – DOE
Job Description:
- Setup new Confluent Kafka platform.
- Upgrade and maintain existing platform to approved version in the organization.
- Implement security best practices for Kafka cluster.
- Maintain & tune Kafka cluster for scalability and performance.
- Understanding of Kafka Brokers.
- Understanding of Kafka client (Producer and consumer) concepts.
- Collaborate among development teams, product managers, operations teams and architecture groups.
- Ability to install and configure Kafka On-prem (must) and Confluent Cloud (good to have).
- Good scripting and automation skills.
- Observability skills to monitor tools/infrastructure (good to have).
