The company is building an end-to-end residential real estate platform that helps customers move with confidence, from search to close.

Orchard is hiring an Associate General Counsel to join its Legal & Regulatory team and play a central role in scaling the business across multiple highly regulated lines. Reporting to the General Counsel, this role partners closely with Product, Engineering, Operations, and business leadership to support product development, geographic expansion, and new service offerings-while balancing innovation with regulatory compliance.

This is a broad, hands-on role for a commercially minded attorney who thrives in ambiguity. You'll lead complex commercial negotiations, structure partnerships and joint ventures, and support Orchard's brokerage, mortgage, title, and closing services as they expand into new states. You'll work directly with regulators, manage outside counsel, help evolve data privacy and information security programs, and contribute to financing and M&A initiatives as the company grows.

The ideal candidate brings 7-12 years of experience across commercial and regulatory matters, strong contract negotiation skills, and comfort operating autonomously in fast-moving environments. You're a practical legal partner with sound judgment, entrepreneurial instincts, and the ability to influence across diverse teams while prioritizing what matters most.
