Commercial Litigation Associate

Role Overview:

A highly skilled and experienced Commercial Litigation Associate is sought to join a dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of four years of substantive litigation experience, with a strong ability to manage complex commercial litigation matters. This role involves supporting senior counsel and independently handling cases through various stages of litigation. Active bar admission in both New York and New Jersey is required, along with familiarity with New York's CPLR, Federal Rules, and other relevant legal procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of complex commercial litigation matters from inception to resolution.
• Conduct in-depth legal research to guide strategic decision-making.
• Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, briefs, Orders to Show Cause, and other litigation documents.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings, trials, arbitrations, and appeals.
• Participate in and conduct depositions.
• Maintain effective communication with courts, clients, and opposing counsel.
• Stay updated on legal developments, industry trends, and best practices to provide high-quality representation.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active bar admission in New York and New Jersey.
• Minimum of four years of commercial litigation experience in a sophisticated legal environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document management software.
• Familiarity with e-discovery and electronic documentation management.
• Self-motivated, analytical, and equipped with strong critical-thinking skills.
• Commercial/business acumen with the ability to offer innovative and practical legal solutions.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and writing skills.
