Location:

New York, NY. Candidate must be willing to come into the NY office at least 3 days a week. This may increase in the future if business needs require.

Job Description:

TCS seeks a junior employment law attorney with experience litigating and advising on domestic employment law issues. The successful candidate will be part of a small Employment Law team, report to the Deputy General Counsel - Head of Legal, Americas, and Deputy Head of Legal - USA, and provide legal support to our human resources department.

Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day proactive employment law advice, guidance, assistance and counseling.

• Work with HR to help manage and respond to employee relations issues, investigations and grievances.

• Review disciplinary actions and terminations with HR.

• Assist in managing responses to subpoenas and document requests.

• Respond to administrative complaints and Department of Labor investigations.

• Respond to EEOC and other complaints of discrimination.

• Assist with employment law litigation matters.

• Recommend, implement and continuously improve employment law related training.

• Maintain employment law files and databases.

• Other matters as directed by Head of Legal, Americas and/or Deputy Head of Legal - USA.

Qualifications:

• Three to five years of experience focused on employment law and litigation, preferably with some experience in-house.

• A law degree from a top tier law school and in good standing to practice in any state in the United States.

• Strong analytical capabilities and judgment.

• Ability to work proactively, independently and reliably under tight time frames in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to work effectively and collaboratively as part of a team as well as cross-functionally across teams.

• Willingness to tackle matters outside area of expertise.

• Ability to interact with HR teams and other legal team members (hence this is an office role and not a work from home role)
