Position Summary:

The Lead Maintenance Worker performs and oversees a variety of maintenance-related tasks.

Work Schedule:

Monday through Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Position Responsibilities:

* Ensure work is accomplished in a professional manner and conforms with work order requirements, specifications, and building codes

* Compute material requirements for specific jobs

* Maintain adequate shop stock levels and requisition tools, equipment, materials, and supplies for accomplishing shop assignments

* Assign duties to staff and provide routine guidance

* Perform the duties of a maintenance worker

* Perform duties as a member of the Fire Brigade

* Perform other related duties as assigned

Experience & Educational Background:

* A High School Diploma

* 5 years of recent experience in a variety of building trades is required

* Construction industry experience is preferred

* A valid state driver's license is required

Skills &

Competencies:

* Must possess the strength and dexterity needed to perform the job and the physical ability to move equipment as necessary

* Must adhere to operational safety rules and regulations as deemed by the University

* Must be able to follow directives and possess good communication skills, and the ability to interact with building/office occupants effectively

* Must be able to effectively provide direction to lower-level staff

* Respirator Fit Testing may be required

1199 New Hire rate:$31.07 and 1199 One Year of Service rate $31.70
