About the Role
Forte Construction Corp. is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex transit and infrastructure projects across the full lifecycle-from pre‑construction planning through project closeout. This individual will serve as a strategic leader, ensuring seamless coordination across field operations, design teams, subcontractors, public agencies, and clients. The ideal candidate has deep experience delivering projects for agencies such as NYCT, MTA, and LIRR, with a strong command of construction management best practices.
Key Responsibilities
+ Lead full project lifecycle including pre‑construction planning, procurement, construction oversight, and closeout.
+ Manage project schedules, phasing plans, deliverables, and critical‑path activities to ensure timely execution.
+ Coordinate daily with subcontractors, consultants, inspectors, and client representatives.
+ Serve as the central communication hub between field teams, design professionals, public agencies, and internal leadership.
+ Oversee cost controls, forecasting, change orders, requisitions, and full budget compliance.
+ Review plans, specifications, and shop drawings for adherence to contract and regulatory requirements.
+ Maintain strict compliance with Forte's safety, quality, and documentation standards.
+ Support design‑build collaboration and facilitate effective coordination among engineers, architects, and construction teams.
+ Ensure all work complies with agency standards (NYCT, MTA, LIRR) and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
+ Prepare and deliver regular progress reports to internal and external stakeholders.
Required Skills & Expertise
+ Construction management for transit or heavy civil projects
+ Expertise in public agency coordination
+ Strong understanding of scheduling, cost control, and project documentation
+ Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills
+ Ability to manage multiple complex work streams simultaneously
Preferred Certifications
+ PMP (Project Management Professional) or
+ PE (Professional Engineer)
Qualifications
+ 10+ years of project management experience within construction, infrastructure, or transit environments
+ Prior experience working on projects involving NYCT, MTA, LIRR, or other public transportation agencies is highly desirable

This is a Permanent position based out of New York, NY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $160000.00/yr.
