Digital Strategy Intern

Students interested in social media strategy, research, and communications are welcome to apply for our summer intern program. As an intern on our Digital Strategy team, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience working alongside our teams of dedicated and creative communications professionals.

This is a 10-week paid internship ($21/hour) beginning on June 2nd and ending August 6th, 2026. Our internship follows a hybrid schedule with an expectation of 4 days per week in the office (Monday - Thursday; Friday work can be performed remotely).

Depending on needs and performance, a full-time role after graduation may be available.

Responsibilities:

• Learn about the many facets of what we do, including crisis and issues management, government affairs and policy, strategy and reputation, and financial communications (investor relations, M&A, VC and shareholder activism)
• Participate in an engaging internal training program covering various aspects of strategic communications, including mergers and acquisitions, crisis management, shareholder activism, government affairs, corporate profile raising, investor relations, financial communications and more
• Team up with fellow interns on a mock new business pitch, developing strategies and presenting ideas for a hypothetical client assignment
• Conduct and analyze industry- and company-specific social media research
• Assist in building, managing, and reporting on performance for digital ad campaigns
• Work under the direction of a mentor to devise recommendations and solutions for clients' digital queries
• Recognize and identify noteworthy patterns or changes in social media activity using software
• Assist in planning, brainstorming, and executing social media tactics and strategies
• Create content for client and/or FGS Global owned social media channels, including Facebook, Twitter/X, Linked In, and Instagram
• Perform social channel research audits and develop social media content calendars
• Write email newsletter campaigns, blog posts, and web content as necessary
• Work with team members on related digital projects and tasks

Qualifications:

• Rising Senior in an undergraduate program.
• Eagerness and desire to learn.
• Strong writer and editor.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Interest in and enthusiasm for business, social media, communications and/or public relations
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines
• Excellent interpersonal skills
