ABOUT SAINT LAURENT

Founded in 1961, Yves Saint Laurent was the first couture house to introduce the concept of luxury prêt-à-porter in a 1966 collection called 'Rive Gauche', synonymous with youth and freedom. This shift represented a first critical step in the modernization of fashion and revolutionized the socio- cultural landscape.
In 1999, the luxury goods division of the Kering Group acquired Yves Saint Laurent and, under the creative direction of Anthony Vaccarello since April
2016, continues to position the house at the summit of the luxury universe.
Today, Saint Laurent collections include women's and men's ready-to-wear, shoes, handbags, small leather goods, jewelry, scarves, ties and eyewear.

Job Description

We are currently seeking a Public Relations Intern who will report to the Sr. Director of PR & Media as part of our dynamic team in
New York, New York.

ROLE

You will be supporting the Public Relations Director, Public Relations Manager, Media Manager, and Public Relations Coordinator in their daily activities. You will also be maintaining the organization of the sample closet, showroom and magazine archive.

MISSION

• Assisting with sample trafficking, new sample inventory and gifting initiatives
• Reviewing national and local publications and websites for editorial credits on a daily basis
• Assisting with daily digital and weekly print + digital press reviews
• Assisting with VIP dressing initiatives
• Coordinating messenger services and international overnight shipments

PROFILE

• Students with an interest in luxury fashion and Public Relations
• Marketing and/or Advertising and would prefer candidates with prior corporate office experience
• Must have availability in the office minimum 2-3 days a week

The base compensation for this position is $17/hr.
