This freelance role is ideal for a detail-oriented digital marketer who can create compelling on-site content, manage merchandising campaigns end to end, and thrive in an agile, start-up-like environment. You will partner closely with cross-functional teams to launch high-impact site experiences that drive engagement, conversion, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan, create, and optimize on-brand, customer-centric merchandising content for web and mobile experiences.
• Build, schedule, and publish content using internal content management and publishing tools.
• Monitor performance metrics (CTR, CVR, revenue, engagement) and recommend data-driven improvements to site content and layout.
• Partner with marketing, design, and product teams to support promotional calendars, launches, and seasonal campaigns.
• Contribute to and coordinate social media amplification of key deals, themes, and campaigns as needed.
• Maintain high editorial and UX standards while working against tight deadlines and shifting priorities.
• Ensure accuracy and consistency of messaging, pricing, and imagery across assigned pages and placements.
• Document and iterate on merchandising best practices to improve workflow efficiency and campaign impact.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in digital marketing and/or web/mobile merchandising.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Experience working with content management systems and web-publishing tools.
Preferred Skills & Experience
• Demonstrated customer obsession and a strong understanding of online consumer behavior.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on clear and persuasive customer messaging.
• Track record of executing successful merchandising campaigns, from brief to launch to post-mortem.
• Ability to read, interpret, and act on performance data to refine content and merchandising strategies.
• Familiarity with social media platforms and how to align them with site merchandising initiatives.
• High attention to detail, especially when reviewing copy, creative assets, pricing, and URLs.
• Comfort operating in a test-and-learn culture with frequent iterations and rapid experimentation.
