Job Summary
Reporting to the Director of Community Services, the Tech Cafe Coordinator is responsible for selecting and implementing virtual reality, e-game, pc, console, and other traditional gaming opportunities at our four Older Adult Centers (OACs). The Coordinator must collaborate with program staff to organize and distribute the Tech Café Schedules across the OAC sites.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Research, selection and cataloging of appropriate tech café
- Maintenance and troubleshooting of all gaming equipment and accessories including proper hygienic care of equipment.
- Collaborating with program staff to create appropriate schedules each gaming cycle.
- Work with volunteers/student interns that are assisting with the program
- Organize gaming stations/areas in the assigned spaces across sites.
- Assist to develop and enforce safe-gaming practices and tech café
- Obtain and maintain gaming waivers and activity sign-in sheets.
- Create and coordinate tournaments or other like events across sites.
- Guide, monitor and work with participants (entry-level to advanced) to support the program.
- Submit data and reports as needed.
- Assist to prepare monthly activity calendars, promotional flyers, and information materials.
- Input program data into agency and NYC Aging database systems.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion, daily upload and organized filing of activity sign-in sheets, logs, and all other program-related documents.
- Maintain membership listserv and assist with participant registration process.
- Assist with collection, calculation, and documentation of program contributions.
- Perform other related job tasks as requested or assigned.
- Must have a high-school diploma or equivalent.
- Must possess excellent customer service skills.
- Must have at least one year of relative experience (experience working with older adults is a plus).
- Must have pc and e-game knowledge.
20 Hours Per Week. Flex Schedule
- Monday-Sunday.
Project FIND participates in E-Verify, which confirms employment authorization through an electronic database maintained by the Social Security Administration and Department of Homeland Security.
