Opportunity DescriptionSimi Tree Talent Solutions is a leading search firm for the Behavioral / Mental Health industry. Our client is a well-established and growing CCBHC looking for a Part-Time Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) for their clinics in the New York, NY area. This is a part-time position, 3 days a week, 100% on-site, Harlem area.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience treating children that are ages 8 and under.
- Master's degree in nursing from an accredited nurse practitioner program is required.
- Currently licensed in New York State as an Independent Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. (3600 hours complete)
- Active DEA Number (NYS)
- Currently enrolled in NY Medicaid and Medicare.
- Provide advanced psychiatric nursing care as a member of a multi-disciplinary team, under the supervision of a psychiatrist (if required due to state collaborative practice agreement guidelines).
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for children ages 8 and under, including psychosocial, developmental, and trauma histories.
- Diagnose mental health conditions using DSM-5 criteria and support the development of individualized, evidence-based treatment plans.
- Provide crisis assessment, risk assessment, and intervention when clinically indicated.
- Apply trauma-informed and culturally responsive practices when working with children, adolescents, and families.
- Prescribe, monitor, and adjust psychiatric medications while assessing therapeutic response and side effects.
The compensation scale listed is a general salary range and is not intended to represent the actual annual or hourly compensation rate for this role. An offer will be made to the selected candidate at the conclusion of the interview process based on their relevant experience and the responsibilities of the position.
