Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

An established and highly regarded outpatient behavioral health practice in Manhattan is seeking a skilled Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner through our recruiting firm to join its close-knit clinical team. Title:

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)

Location:

Manhattan, NY – Midtown

Salary + Benefits:

• $110 per hour

• Malpractice coverage provided

Flexible scheduling (14 hours per week)

• Evening hours available but flexible

• 2 days per week (Mondays preferred but flexible)

Responsibilities of Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner:

• Provide psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and medication management

• Treat mostly adult patients but some across the lifespan

• Manage a daily caseload of approximately 12–14 patients

• Work with individuals experiencing serious mental illness and substance use disorders

• Collaborate closely with an onsite Psychiatrist and another PMHNP

• Maintain timely and accurate documentation using Smart MyEvolv EHR

• Deliver compassionate, evidence-based care in an outpatient setting

Requirements of Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner:

• Active PMHNP license in New York State

• Minimum of 1 year of experience practicing as a PMHNP

• Experience working with serious mental illness and substance use populations

• Comfortable treating both adult and pediatric patients (ages 5+)

• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and collaboration skills

• Ability to work onsite in Manhattan (no parking available; public transit accessible)
