Registered Nurse Telemetry

Job Summary:

The Telemetry Registered Nurse provides safe, high-quality patient care for individuals with cardiac and hemodynamic needs. Utilizing evidence-based practices and collaboration with the healthcare team, the RN delivers comprehensive nursing services in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and evaluate patients’ cardiac status, integrating clinical data and critical thinking to develop individualized care plans.
• Deliver medication administration, monitoring, and interventions specific to cardiovascular conditions.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure understanding.
• Educate patients and caregivers about disease management, treatment plans, and health promotion strategies.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, reporting safety concerns, and adhering to institutional safety protocols.
• Document nursing actions thoroughly within electronic health records and support hospital compliance standards.

Qualifications:

• Valid NYS RN license with current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience, including 2 years in telemetry or Med Surg.
• Demonstrated proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and patient education skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, dynamic setting.
• Travel experience of at least 1 year preferred for travel positions.
