Schedule: Full-time nursing assignment; average patient load of 3 high acuity patients
Highlights:- Progressive Critical Care Unit specializing in medically delicate and surgically complex patient populations
- Diverse case mix including respiratory failure, sepsis, closed head injuries, multi-system organ dysfunction, endocrine disorders, complex traumas, and surgical complications
- Advanced hemodynamics experience required including pressor titration protocols, antihypertensive drips, sedative and narcotic infusions, thrombolytics, arterial lines, CVP monitoring, and EVD management
- Epic EMR system experience required
- Competency testing required within 24 hours of application submission
- Navy blue scrubs required
- Active New York RN license (note: candidates from certain local counties may not be eligible)
- ACLS certification required
- Epic electronic medical record experience is mandatory
- Competency in medical and surgical patient populations
- Experience with HFNC, BiPap/CPap, oxygen-dependent patients, orthopedic traction, and infection prevention protocols
- Large-scale adult Progressive Care Unit experience or community hospital ICU experience strongly preferred
- Valid email address required for competency assessment delivery
This position offers the opportunity to provide expert nursing care to critically complex patients in a regional Progressive Critical Care Unit. You'll utilize advanced critical care skills daily, working with sophisticated monitoring systems and therapeutic interventions while collaborating with a skilled interdisciplinary team dedicated to delivering exceptional outcomes for high-acuity patient populations.
