Registered Nurse – Intermediate Care (IMC/PCU/Stepdown)

Utica, NY | Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU)

Contract | Days | 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM | Block scheduling may be available; specific scheduling arrangements are not guaranteed

• Provide intermediate-level nursing care to adult patients (18+) across a 64-bed unit, including 15 designated Neuro beds
• Manage patients with common diagnoses including Neuro, Cardiac, Trauma, Respiratory (COPD), DKA, Sepsis, MI, CV Stepdown, and post-operative care
• Operate and monitor specialty equipment including temporary pacers, chest tubes, arterial lines, BiPAP, and Neptune Vapo systems
• Support care of chronic ventilator-dependent patients in coordination with Respiratory Therapy
• Float to other units as required to meet staffing needs
• Document and manage patient care using EPIC EMR

• Active, unencumbered New York State RN License (verified via NURSYS report required at submission)
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in IMCU/PCU setting
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR required
• Completed skills checklist matching IMC/PCU/Stepdown specialty required at submission
• Local candidates are welcome to apply (local pay rates apply for candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility)

• Prior travel nursing experience in an IMCU or PCU setting
• Experience with neurological patient populations and neuro-specific monitoring
• Familiarity with chronic ventilator management in coordination with Respiratory Therapy
